The National Centre for Resilience (NCR) is excited to introduce ‘Are You Prepared?’, an interactive educational game designed to engage children and communities in Scotland in conversations about natural hazards. This innovative tool fosters awareness and encourages practical learning on how to prepare for, stay safe during, and recover from hazardous weather events.
Engaging Learning Through Play
Designed for children aged 6-12 years, ‘Are You Prepared?’ transforms essential safety knowledge into a fun, engaging experience. The game is not only ideal for classroom settings but also perfect for families and community groups, helping young learners understand the importance of resilience in an accessible and enjoyable way.

“Emergencies, like severe weather, can cause disruption at any time and it is important that people and communities across Scotland are able to prepare in a variety of ways for the risks we could face. This new learning resource will help young people understand how to prepare for various natural hazards that can affect us all, and the part that they can play in building Scotland’s resilience.”
